All you hardcore fans better get excited about this one. It’s awesome.
Ligeia - “I’m Sorry You’re Ugly”
OMFG! LIGEIA GOT BACK TOGETHER!
They’re one of my favorite heavier bands of the past decade and rep that New England sound damn well. Some of you probably won’t like this song [it’s an old one], but stay tuned and I’ll post a different song/video later today.
Ligeia - “I’ve Been Drinking”
This song gets played at least twice a week around the UTG offices and on the weekend, even more. This is THE SONG to get messed up and make bad decisions to. Enjoy.
Have Heart - “Bostons”
There are few hardcore bands that I miss the way I miss Have Heart. These former Bridge Nine tough guys split in 2009, but their 2008 album, Songs to Scream At The Sun, still floors me. This isn’t another “scene” hardcore act, no, this is true, raw, unbridled hardcore that has something to say and doesn’t give a damn whether or not you want to hear it.
Norma Jean - Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste
My favorite breakdown. Ever.
Josh Scogin and Aaron Weiss can do no wrong.
End of discussion.
“The Hand That Feeds” - Lionheart
I love all forms of hardcore, but this will always be the subgenre that hits home most. The fury and intensity in this song and band cannot be put into words or measured in decibels. They simply destroy.
Warning: Explicit language
“Grim Love” - Dead And Divine
This song has been on repeat for a week. A love song for the rock-obsessed realist in all of us.
